House Party Theme

House Party was the closing party of week-long company meeting. In one ballroom, rooms, activations, scenic and decor made up the footprint of a 1990’s house to throw a party in. Instead of traditional set ups for catering, photo booths and DJs, we used the design of a house to create elements of surprise for attendees.

When attendees entered the ballroom, they saw the façade of the outside of a house. The window gave a glimpse into the rest of the ballroom (house) once they got “inside”. My team created custom scenic walls to theme the front and backyard, living room, dining room, bedroom and den. We drew plans to separate the space into distinct rooms, and then furnished, lit and decorated each room that served different purposes for the event (i.e. The closet mirror was the photo booth!)

The kitchen included two fridges where attendees could help themselves to beer and snacks.

Mom & Dad came to break up the party at the end of the night.

In the living rooom, we used wood dance floor to get a more home-y feel. Framed photos throughout the “house” were personal family portraits of attendees or upper management.

The “backyard” included astroturf flooring, hedges, a ball pit pool, picnic tables and a detatched garage where attendees won branded tees by participating in a backyard game.
